A Holistic approach to Horse Care

We offer both Private Paddock and Group Paddock agistment and either full DIY or Basic Care options to suit your horse's need.

Need help working out what to feed your horse?

Our manager, Jessica, took the Horse Nutrition subject in both years while studying at Glenormison College and has extensive experience managing EMS/IR/Cushings and Laminitis prone horses and ponies.

Jessica can do a Ration Calculator for your horse to make sure he's getting everything he needs in his diet and suggest any changes or alternatives to suit your budget and your horse's individual requirements.

Private Paddocks

Our Private Paddocks are a generous size to promote healthy movement and can accommodate either 1 or 2 horses.

These paddocks all have natural shade and shelter from the big row of pine trees along the front of the property and are fully electric fenced with stand-off on the boundary fences. The whole farm is on town water and each paddock has an individual trough.

All Agistment options include use of our Facilities
  • 16m timber round yard
  • Grassed riding area
  • Toilet on site
  • Tie up area

Our aim is to make horse ownership as easy as possible for our Agisters so we organise an Annual Dental Day with Golden Plains Equine Vets and have a whole-farm De-worming Schedule to ensure the health and wellbeing of all horses.

There are a number of barefoot trimmers and farriers that attend the farm on a regular basis and we can put you in touch with our reliable hay supplier to deliver round rolls right into your paddock.

Group Paddocks

We have 3x Group Paddock options for owners who want their horse to live a natural lifestyle as one of a (small) herd.

We take care to manage our paddocks so that there is good grazing available for as much of the year as possible, this helps reduce the need for supplementary hard feeding, and many of the horses in the group paddock do not need daily feeding. In times of low pasture supplementary hay feeding can be arranged.

Our Basic Care Paddock is suitable for busy owners who cannot tend to their horses daily needs, or is perfect for retired horses who need a bit more support. The horses in this paddock receive a daily hard feed, and daily grass hay as required ie. when pasture levels are low. We will also take care of daily rugging and fly mask needs.

Basic Care Group Paddock: Base Rate $45/week ($195/month) Plus feed and hay costs as required. (These will vary throughout the year depending on the season and grass growth.)

DIY Group Paddock: places in this paddock are capped to help maintain pasture levels and vacancies do not come up very often. $27.70/week ($120/month)
